Broncos Split Second Home Tri-Match of the Season
DELHI, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Women's Volleyball team hosted their 2nd Tri-Match of the season Saturday, Sept 27th where they faced off against the Marywood Pacers and the Elmira Soaring Eagles. The Broncos would fall in three straight sets to the Pacers before winning their first match of the season, getting the best of the Soaring Eagles in four sets.

In the opening match of the day, the Broncos struggled to get things going against the Pacers, with junior Kayla Nuss tallying five kills and six digs and senior Audrey Logsdon leading the team in digs with seven.  Senior Laurel Poston also aided the Bronco offense with nine assists of her own. In the afternoon, The Broncos would flip the script and win their first match of the season. In the first set, The Soaring Eagles started off hot getting out to an 11-7 lead. The Soaring Eagles would forget about the first set quickly, taking a lead early in the second set that they never gave up, winning the set 25-19. The Broncos would charge out to a 10-4 lead to start the third set, putting a halt to the Soaring Eagles offense. The Broncos would find themselves leading 22-19 before they scored three straight points behind the efforts of junior Noelle Placanica and Nuss each earning a kill before a Soaring Eagles attacking error ended the set. With the Broncos facing match point for the first time on the year they would not hesitate getting themselves out to a dominant 15-6 lead. The Soaring Eagles would not go down quietly though, coming back to a mere two point deficit at 23-21. Delhi perservered, earning two points in a row to win the fourth and final set 25-21.
