Women's Volleyball Advances to NAC Semi-Final With 3-0 Sweep of UMPI

BANGOR, Maine — SUNY Delhi volleyball opened its 2025 posteason campaign on a high note Saturday afternoon, sweeping the 6th-seeded University of Maine–Presque Isle 3–0 (25–9, 25–21, 25–17) at Newman Athletic Gymnasium.

The Broncos (7–23, 5–3 NAC) opened the match with a dominant first set and maintained control throughout behind an efficient offense that hit .225 as a team. Kayla Nuss led the way with 13 kills, 16 digs, and two service aces, while Noelle Placanica added eight kills, 16 digs, and two blocks in a balanced performance.

Setter Laurel Poston directed the attack with 33 assists and added seven digs and two block assists, and Faith Sheltra chipped in six kills and three total blocks. Audrey Logsdon anchored the back row with a match-high 23 digs and an ace, helping Delhi hold the Owls to a negative hitting percentage.

With the win the Broncos advance to the NAC Semi-Finals tomorrow, Nov. 9th facing 2nd-seeded Husson at 1 p.m.
