Volleyball Wins Nail-Biter at Home

DELHI, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Volleyball team won their third consecutive match Saturday, October 4th in nail-biting fashion against conference opponent Thomas. With the win the Broncos improve to 3-15 on the year and 2-0 in NAC play.

It was an impressive match from Senior Audrey Logsdon who recorded 27 digs, her career-high as a Bronco. Junior Kayla Nuss once again fronted the Delhi attack, tallying 18 kills with first year Faith Sheltra adding 10 of her own. Setter Laurel Poston notched 40 assists on the night, also a career-high.

All four sets were tightly contested, with Delhi coming out on top in the first and Thomas taking the second. Nearing the end of the third the Broncos found themselves in a 23-21 hole, but a Sheltra service ace and a fleury of Thomas errors let Delhi sneak away with the set win. The final set was the closest of them all, ending in a five point Delhi streak to win while Thomas was stuck at 24.

The Broncos are take the court again Saturday, Oct. 11th for a match at Maine Maritime Academy.
