JOHNSON, Vt. — Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim scored 24 points, including six 3-pointers, as the SUNY Delhi men's basketball team defeated VTSU-Johnson 79-73 in a North Atlantic Conference game Saturday at Carter Gymnasium.
The Broncos (7-14, 6-8 NAC) led 35-34 at halftime and shot 47.1 percent (32-of-68) from the field, including 36.8 percent (7-of-19) from beyond the arc. Delhi forced 12 turnovers from the Badgers (7-16, 3-11 NAC), scoring 12 points off them, and outscored VTSU-Johnson 38-28 in the paint.
Noah Colin added 14 points and six rebounds for SUNY Delhi, while Kai Harvey scored 13 points with four rebounds and two steals. Adan Madera contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Mohammed Semega led VTSU-Johnson with 21 points and nine rebounds. Jason Baker added 16 points, and Jordan Chisholm had 12.
Delhi improved to 7-14 overall and 6-8 in conference play. The Broncos return to action for their final home games of the year, hosting UMaine-Presque Isle on Friday and celebrating senior day on Saturday against Husson at 1 p.m.
