DELHI, N.Y. — Adan Madera scored 23 points and Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim added 21 as the SUNY Delhi men's basketball team defeated Lesley 85-76 in a North Atlantic Conference game Sunday at Floyd L. Maines Arena.
The Broncos (4-12, 3-6 NAC) built a 48-34 halftime lead and withstood a second-half push from the Lynx (2-13, 2-7 NAC). Delhi shot 50 percent (34-of-68) from the field, including 33.3 percent (8-of-24) from 3-point range, while holding Lesley to 43.3 percent (26-of-60) overall.
Jason Tagios contributed 16 points and nine rebounds for SUNY Delhi, while Noah Colin had nine points and four assists. Kai Harvey dished out 12 assists to go with six points and two steals.
The Broncos forced 19 Lesley turnovers, converting them into 19 points, and outscored the Lynx 40-32 in the paint.
Tarell Joseph and Ethan Arnold each scored 14 points for Lesley, with CJ Leonard adding 12 points and five rebounds.
Delhi improved to 4-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play. The Broncos return to action Friday against Maine-Farmington for the first game of a back-to-back.
