DELHI, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Basketball team fell at home against RPI Monday night, despite a late surge by the home squad. With the loss the Broncos fall to 0-2, and the Engineers improve to 2-0 on the year.
The Engineers opened the game strong, going on a 19-2 run to put Delhi in a hole they were never able to climb out of. The hosts managed to claw the deficit down to 13 with six minutes to play, but the Engineers were able to withstand the rally.
Jason Tagios led the Broncos with a double-double, pitching in 12 points including several three-pointers down the stretch to go along with 10 rebounds. Kai Harvey also turned in a double-digit performance with 11 points off the bench. Dylan Matchett recorded a 19-point double-double on 8-for-13 shooting to lead the Engineers, also adding 11 rebounds. Yeichel Stewart and Pat White scored 15 and 12 points respectively for RPI.
The Broncos have a quick turnaround, heading to UAlbany tomorrow, Nov. 11th for an exhibition match. ESPN+ subscribers can tune in via their ESPN apps or on espn.com/watch, linked here.
