ALBANY, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Basketball team travled to UAlbany for an exhibition game Tuesday, falling to the Division I hosts 112-52.
Adan Madera opened the game with a deep mid-range jumper to give the Broncos a brief lead to open the game, but a couple of transition dunks from the Great Danes gave them a lead that would continue to grow throughout the game. Broncos coach Jonathan Annan played all 16 players on his roster, with everybody getting the chance to play at the Broadview Center for at least four minutes.
No Broncos cracked double-digits in scoring but Kai Harvey once again put on a solid performance off the bench, scoring nine points on 4-for-8 shooting to lead Delhi scorers. Giovanni Germaine went a perfect 3-for-3 from the field, pitching in eight points for the Broncos. Anthony Graffeo-Jackson led the team in rebounds with six, and Noah Colin continued to be a pest on the defensive end of the court, coming up with five steals. Six different Great Danes reached double-digits, with Amir Lindsey and Zach Matulu scoring 19 and 17 respectively, both shooting 7-for-10 on the night. UAlbany shot 65% from the firld and 53% from three in their first victory of the season.
The game was a exhibition, meaning it will not impact the Broncos' record. They will return to action Nov. 18th after a week off from games, giving them some time to rest and recoup after a three game in four day stretch facing tough competition.
