DELHI, N.Y. — The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team used a strong second-half surge to defeat Thomas College 64-56 in a North Atlantic Conference contest Saturday at Floyd L. Maines Arena.
The Broncos (3-12, 2-6 NAC) trailed 29-27 at halftime but outscored the Terriers (5-9, 4-3 NAC) 37-27 over the final 20 minutes to secure the victory in their first home game since returning from winter break.
Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim led SUNY Delhi with 17 points, hitting 4-of-7 from 3-point range to go with five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Adan Madera added 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 7-of-10 from the free-throw line, along with six rebounds.
Noah Colin contributed nine points, four rebounds and three steals, while Jason Tagios finished with five points, six rebounds and three blocks.
The Broncos shot 34.5 percent (19-of-55) from the field and 40 percent (6-of-15) from 3-point range, while converting 20-of-38 free throws. They held Thomas to 28.3 percent (15-of-53) shooting and forced 22 turnovers.
Isaiah Godley paced Thomas with 15 points and 12 rebounds, going 15-of-19 from the line. TJ Blackmon added 12 points.
Delhi improved to 3-12 overall and 2-6 in conference play with the win. The Broncos look to conference opponent Lesley tomorrow.
