DELHI, N.Y. — Adan Madera posted 26 points and 10 rebounds as the SUNY Delhi men's basketball team edged UMaine-Farmington 92-91 in overtime Friday in a North Atlantic Conference contest at Floyd L. Maines Arena, handing the Beavers their first conference defeat of the year.
The Broncos (5-12, 4-6 NAC) tied the game late in regulation and outscored the Beavers (12-4, 9-1 NAC) 14-13 in the extra period for the upset. Delhi shot 52.2 percent (36-of-69) from the field, including 42.9 percent (9-of-21) from beyond the arc, while holding UMaine-Farmington to 40.8 percent (31-of-76) shooting.
Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim drained seven 3-pointers for 23 points for SUNY Delhi, adding three assists. Kai Harvey scored 17 points with seven assists and two steals, and Anthony Graffeo-Jackson added 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks.
The Broncos blocked six shots and forced nine turnovers, turning them into 13 points, in a game that featured seven ties and eight lead changes.
Zach McLaughlin led the Beavers with 31 points, including five 3-pointers. Jason Reynolds had 21 points and 19 rebounds, and Kory Donlin scored 15 points.
Delhi improved to 5-12 overall and 4-6 in conference play. The Broncos return to action Saturday against Maine Maritime.
