Men's Basketball Shocks Hamilton Behind Ibrahim's 30 Point Night

DELHI, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Basketball team (1-5, 0-2 NAC) picked up their first win of the year on Tuesday, defeating visiting Hamilton (2-3) 78-72 in a thriller. 

The Broncos' offense looked dramitcally improved, getting out to a double-digit lead that they were able to maintain throughout the first half. This lead began to wain as the Continentals were able to get some looks inside and with four minutes remaining they leveled the game, even briefly taking the lead before a couple of three-pointers from Delhi's Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim sealed the deal for the hosts.

Ibrahim converted on six threes on the night en route to his career-high, while also going 10-11 from the free throw line and tallying four steals. Adan Madera and Kai Harvey added 16 and 15 respectively, and Noah Colin pitched in 12 points on 4-7 shooting with six steals, making several big plays down the stretch. Jalen Reese turned in a 22 point double-double for the Continentals, shooting 10-18 from the floor and hauling in 12 rebounds, while guard David Melson had an impressive 10 points and 11 rebounds for his own double-double in the loss.

The Broncos won't take the court again until Dec. 5th, the first game of a conference back-to-back against VTSU Johnson, before facing VTSU Lyndon Dec. 6th.
