Men's Basketball Drops High Scoring Affair at Husson

BANGOR, MAINE - The Delhi Broncos Men's Basketball team (2-10, 1-5 NAC) returned from break Monday, coming up short at Husson (6-5, 5-1 NAC) by a score of 101-83.

The Broncos struggled defensively out of the gate, giving up 52 first half points and carrying a 15-point deficit into the break. The offense improved in the second half, but Husson still managed 49 in the second frame to keep the game out of reach for Delhi.

Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim continued his pre-break form, pouring in 18 points on 7-13 shooting and registering five steals. Guard Noah Colin added 16 points of his own while leading the team in rebounds, pulling down seven boards. Adan Madera added 14, shooting 75% from the floor in the loss.

Husson recieved 21 points each from the tandem of Eric Ahlers and Connor Heald, with Ahlers hauling in 13 rebounds to record a double-double. Andre McCauley accounted for 18 points for Husson going a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe, with these three guards scoring 60 of Husson's 101 point total.

The Broncos are back in action for an afternoon game at UMPI tomorrow, Jan. 6th at 1 p.m.
