FARMINGTON, Maine - The Delhi Men's basketball team finished their road trip to Maine coming up short against a strong UMaine-Farmington squad, falling 95–66 in conference play. The Broncos move to 0–5 on the season and 0–2 in conference action.
The Broncos opened with strong individual efforts but struggled to slow down a Beaver offense that shot an even 50% from the field. The hosts got out to a hot start and built a 47–31 lead going into the half, maintaining control throughout the second frame.
Senior guard Noah Colin paced the Broncos with an efficient 20-point performance, going 8-for-11 from the floor while adding two assists and two steals. Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim provided a spark off the bench with 12 points, including a key three-pointer late in the first half to keep Delhi within striking distance. Adan Madera posted 9 points and knocked down the Broncos one and only three of the first half, while Giovanni Germain added 6 points and 3 boards. Jason Tagios chipped in 5 points and a team-high 5 rebounds as Delhi struggled on the glass.
UMF's size and efficiency around the rim proved difficult to contain. The Beavers interior attack was led by Jason Reynolds who finished with 23 points and 18 rebounds while Zach McLaughlin poured in a game-high 29.
The Broncos will be back in action Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 5:00pm where they will take on Hamilton College in a non-conference matchup at Floyd L. Maines Arena before taking a break for Thanksgiving.
