JOHNSON, Vt. — Alani Brock scored 19 points and Riley Schmidt added 12 as the SUNY Delhi women's basketball team lost 71-60 to VTSU-Johnson in a North Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday at Carter Gymnasium.
The Broncos (3-18, 2-12 NAC) trailed 29-25 at halftime and shot 34.8 percent (23-of-66) from the field, including 16.7 percent (2-of-12) from 3-point range. Delhi forced 18 turnovers from the Badgers (11-9, 9-5 NAC), scoring 18 points off them, but committed 15 of their own.
Mya Aiken contributed eight points and five rebounds for SUNY Delhi, while Sereena Palau had four points, five rebounds and four assists. The Broncos were outrebounded 36-28.
Faith Benjamin led VTSU-Johnson with 20 points and seven rebounds. Kristie Zator scored 16 points, and Jacquelyn Oberg added 12.
Delhi fell to 3-18 overall and 2-12 in conference play. The Broncos are back in action on Friday against UMaine-Presque Isle at 7:30 p.m., with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
