LYNDONVILLE, Vt. — Sereena Palau scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds as the SUNY Delhi women's basketball team fell 55-47 to VTSU Lyndon in a North Atlantic Conference contest Friday at George W. Stannard Gymnasium.
The Broncos (3-17, 2-11 NAC) trailed 26-24 at halftime and shot 31.7 percent (19-of-60) from the field, including 12.5 percent (2-of-16) from 3-point range. Delhi outrebounded the Hornets (5-14, 3-9 NAC) 49-33 but committed 22 turnovers.
Gianna Schmidt added eight points for SUNY Delhi, while Mya Aiken contributed seven points and five rebounds. Riley Schmidt had six rebounds and three steals.
The Broncos forced 14 turnovers from VTSU Lyndon, scoring 11 points off them.
Kiara Mack led the Hornets with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ella Huntington scored 14 points, and Kadienne Whitcomb added 10.
Delhi fell to 3-17 overall and 2-11 in conference play. The Broncos return to action at VTSU Johnson tomorrow, with tip off scheduled for 3 p.m.
