DELHI, N.Y. — The SUNY Delhi women's basketball team fell to Thomas College 75-26 in a North Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday at Floyd L. Maines Arena.
The Broncos (2-12, 1-7 NAC) struggled offensively against the Terriers (9-4, 5-2 NAC), shooting 15 percent (9-of-60) from the field while Thomas connected on 47.1 percent (32-of-68) of its attempts. Delhi trailed 36-9 at halftime and was outrebounded 61-30.
Mya Aiken led SUNY Delhi with seven points on 3-of-15 shooting, including 1-of-3 from 3-point range, to go with two rebounds. Jonnya Shelling added six points on 2-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Sarah Gaetano contributed four points, two rebounds and one steal, while Aniyah Boston grabbed seven rebounds.
The Broncos hit 17.6 percent (3-of-17) from 3-point range and 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from the free-throw line, forcing 16 Thomas turnovers.
Pryelle Kesse-Beda paced Thomas with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Emily Hagerty added 15 points and nine boards.
Delhi fell to 2-12 overall and 1-7 in conference play. The Broncos return to action tomorrow against conference opponent Lesley.
