FARMINGTON, MAINE - The Delhi Broncos Women's Basketball team held on to a nine-point deficit heading into the half, but that number quickly ballooned as the Broncos fell 76-39 to UMaine - Farmington on the road Saturday.
N'Drea Francis led the Broncos in scoring, netting eight points while also hauling 10 rebounds in 32 minutes of action. Juanita Guzman added ten rebounds of her own to go along with six points off the bench, and Sereena Palau fired in seven while also converting on the team's only made three-point attempt. Poor shooting numbers once again plagues Delhi, shooting 23% from the field, 7% from three and 50% from the line. Audrey Mackie and Jessica Dow combined for 25 points for the Beavers, while Sarah Polie patrolled the paint, haulin in nine rebounds and blocking two Delhi shot attempts.
The Broncos will look to recoup over Thanksgiving break with their next contest not until December 1st, where they will travel to MCLA for a non-conference matchup.
