Eight Different Players Score in Men's Soccer's Rout of VTSU Lyndon

DELHI, N.Y. — SUNY Delhi Men's Soccer capped its regular-season home slate in emphatic fashion Sunday, routing VTSU Lyndon 10–0 at Neil Riddell Field.

The Broncos (7–3–5, 5–1–2 NAC) wasted no time asserting control, scoring four times in the first half. Aidan Gaughan opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Sean Szczcotka, Stephen Birmingham, and Dayshar Herrara each added tallies to give Delhi a commanding 4–0 halftime lead.

Delhi kept its foot on the gas after the break, with Jared Fernandez, Ahmadou Diallo, Matt Serrao, and Umaru Conteh all finding the net. Gaughan's second goal of the day in the 54th minute highlighted a relentless offensive display that produced 43 total shots and 19 corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Ayden Grieve earned the clean sheet in 90 minutes of action, as the Broncos' defense limited Lyndon to a single shot attempt all afternoon.

The victory marked Delhi's largest margin of the season as the Broncos continued to build momentum heading into the North Atlantic Conference postseason. Delhi will travel to Alfred University for their final non-conference game of the year Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
