DELHI, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Soccer team took down previously perfect in NAC play Husson Sunday, Oct. 12th at Neil Riddell Field, prevailing 2-0 for their third consecutive conference win.
Dayshar Herrara scored first in what would be a very physical matchup, giving the Broncos the lead in the 21st minute. From there it would be 58 minutes of relentless, scoreless soccer that saw multiple scoring chances for both teams. Ultimately it would be the Broncos who would capitalize on one of these chances as Ahamdou Diallo found himself one on one with the Eagles' keeper on a break, and was able to bury the insurance goal for the Broncos.
Salvatore Meloni had a strong performance for the Broncos in net, turning away 10 shots on his way to record his second consecutive clean sheet and also picking up an assist when he sent the long ball that freed Diallo. Matt Serrao picked up the assist on Herrara's goal, firing in a cross off of a corner kick.
The Broncos are back in action next weekend, hosting VTSU Johnson and VTSU Lyndon Oct. 18th and Oct. 19th.
