FARMINGTON, MAINE - The Delhi Broncos Men's Soccer team picked up its first conference win at UMaine-Farmington Sunday, Sept. 28th, bringing them to 2-3-5 on the season.
After a scoreless first half the Beavers opened the scoring just two minutes in to the second frame, when Arden Weaver found the back of the Broncos net. It would take just six minutes for a Delhi response, which came in the form of a Michael Adeyeye goal, off an assist from senior Matt Serrao. Ian Silvero scored an unassisted goal to give the Broncos a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes to play, which they were able to maintain to come away with the victory. Recording two saves for the Broncos was junior Salvatore Meloni, who has been sharing goalkeeping duties with sophomore Ayden Grieve.
The Broncos now kick off a five game home stretch, with Senior Recognition day scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4th at 1:00 p.m against SUNY ESF.
