ALFRED, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Soccer team traveled to Alfred State Saturday, Sept. 6th for a game that ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Pioneers opened the scoring in the 38th minute when Henry Leahy found the back of the Broncos net. Delhi responded with less than two minutes to go in the first half at the hands of senior Michael Adeyeye to send the teams into the break even.
Alfred State would once again open the scoring in the second half, as this time it was Will Leahy who gave the Pioneers the lead. The Broncos answered again with a goal from junior Aidan Gaughan, and the score would stay put for the remainder of the game.
Ian Silvero and Umaru Conteh each tallied an assist for the Broncos, with Patrick Mucha and David Adedoyin doing the same for the Pioneers. Goalkeeper Salvatore Maloni registered five saves for Delhi.
The Broncos are back in action at Neil Riddell Field Wednesday, Sept. 10th at 4 p.m. for a non-conference matchup against Morrisville State.
