Gaughan Scores Hat Trick in Men's Soccer's 6-0 Home Win

DELHI, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Soccer team defeated UMaine-Presque Isle 6-0 Saturday, Oct. 11th to gain their second conference win behind an Aidan Gaughan hat trick.

The goals came early and often for the Broncos, with Gaughan first finding the back of the net in the 22nd minute. 1:21 later he found the back of the net again, and a Robert Mercilliot goal in the 40th minute gave the Broncos a 3-0 lead at the break.

It took 22 seconds of second-half action for Umaru Conteh to find the back of the net, with Gaughan netting his third two minutes later. Ahmadou Diallo rounded out the scoring in the 73rd minute to cap off a dominant performance by the Broncos. Matt Serrao added two assists in the victory, and Salvatore Meloni turned away both shots he faced.

The Broncos return to NAC action Sunday, Oct. 12th as they host Husson at 2:30 p.m.
