Cortland, NY - The SUNY Delhi track and field teams traveled to Cortland for the 2026 SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend.  The women's team placed fourth as a team while the men were eighth.

Capturing SUNYAC titles were Shaesha Johnson in the 100 meter dash, Miranda Cole in the 200 meter dash and Amanda Intrieri in the 800 meters.  Intrieri's 2:10.49 run in the 800 meters broke her own school record in the event and moved her to number nine in the nation for NCAA III. Johnson added a second in the 200 meters to Cole, while cole added a runner-up finish in the 100 to Johnon.

Gabby Brown and Christopher Jean Simon posted runner up finishes in the 400 meters and 110 high hurdles respectively.  Brown ran 58.33 to move to number three in program history, while Simon's time of 14.66 moved him to second all-time in the Broncos program.  Right behind Brown in the 400 was teammate Zoe Rodi who took third in the event with her time of 58.50. Sophomore Michael Lilly ran an incredible race in the 5000 meters.  Coming in as the eighth overall seed he took the lead late and challenged for the title.  In the end he finished second with a time of 15:24.95.

Other notable performances came from Evie Eastman also posted a number two time in program history with her lifetime best of 4:49.04 to place fourth in the 1500 meter run and punch her ticket to the All Atlantic Regional Track and Field Championships later this month.  Charlotte Warner placed third in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:55.34 and Kapriece Sigler was third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.33.  Richard Fuller placed fourth in the 400 meter dash, Cristhian Cuveas was fifth in the 200 meter dash.

Perhaps the most surprising performance of the meet came from Alyssa Cole during the heptathlon.  Cole, competing in the high jump during the two day event, had herself a day.  She cleared 1.57 meters for a huge lifetime best and a tie as the third best high jumper in Bronco history.  The performance helped her place fifth in the multi event.

Finally, the mens 4x100 meter relay team of Peair Industrious, Deron Davis, Jabez Primus and Cristhian Cuevas palced fourth in a time of 42.34.

While this will mark the end of the season for a lot of the team, a number will continue on with their next scheduled stop at the West Point Twilight Meet on Thursday.
