Women's Soccer Battles to 2-2 Tie

FARMINGTON, MAINE - The Delhi Broncos Women's Soccer team fought to a 2-2 draw in a conference match at UMaine-Farmington Sunday, Sept. 28th, their first tie on the year.

The Beavers struck late in the first half when Natalie Tracy found nylon in the 39th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead they would carry into the break. 10 minutes into the second half Ava Battista continued her strong run of form, scoring her second goal of the year to tie the game with Kaitlyn Hines registering the assist. It would be another another 30 minutes of scorless soccer before a Jordan DeNinno goal gave the Broncos the lead, with Tracy bringing it back level for the Beavers just 31 seconds later. With only two and some change to play after this chaotic sequence, neither squad was able to break the draw.

The Broncos travel to local foe Hartwick Thursday, Oct. 2nd for a non-conference matchup.
