Women's Soccer Can't Get Out of Early Hole in Hilbert

HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Women's Soccer Team got themselves into a hole early that they were unable to climb out of Tuesday, Sept. 23rd on the road at Hilbert.

It was all Hawks early, as Ja'Lynn Sanders found the back of the net to open the contest, following it up with an assist on a Michaela Olson goal to give Hilbert a 2-0 lead 21 minutes into the game. The Broncos were able to scrape one back on a defensive mishap as a result of a corner kick, with a Hilbert defender deflecting the ball into their own net with 6:26 to play in the first half. From then on out no goals would be scored by either team, as Delhi only managed one shot on target on the night.

The Broncos continue their road stretch at Lesley Saturday, Sept. 23rd, before a trip up to UMaine-Farmington the following day.
