ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Women's Soccer team lost 2-1 to Rutgers-Newark to wrap up their appearance in the Raptor Tournament hosted by Bard College Sunday, Aug. 31st.

Delhi took the lead when sophomore Jordan DeNinno scored the first goal of the season for the Broncos, netting an unassisted goal in the 38th minute. The Broncos would take this lead into halftime, but by the 6th minute of the second half they found themselves in a 2-1 hole as a result of Vielka Fernandez and Maria Castillo goals, and the Broncos were unable to find an equalizer. 

The Broncos have six days before their next contest, hosting SUNY Poly Saturday, Sept. 6th in a non-conference matchup.
