ALFRED, N.Y. — The SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse team picked up a road win Tuesday afternoon, defeating Alfred State 12-6 on the strength of a dominant fourth quarter.

Delhi jumped out to a 3-0 lead through the first half, with Kyle Moore and Colton Feinberg scoring in the first quarter and Thomas Gandley adding one in the second. Alfred State made things interesting in the third, cutting the deficit to 6-3 after a flurry of goals from Joseph Tiberio and a man-up conversion from Matthew Bridges. Delhi answered immediately, as Moore scored at the 16-second mark of the third to push the lead back to four heading into the final frame.

The Pioneers briefly made it 7-5 early in the fourth, but Anthony McLaughlin took over from there. McLaughlin scored three consecutive goals at 11:59, 9:31, and 8:50 to effectively put the game away. Moore added his third of the day with an assist from Jagger Beachak to make it 12-5 before Alfred State tacked on a late consolation goal.

Moore finished with three goals and two assists, McLaughlin scored three goals, and Beachak added a goal and two assists, including his 100th career assist, a milestone he reached on Moore's final goal. Dylan Csanko won 14 of 21 faceoffs to give Delhi the possession edge, and goalie Jayden Messina made eight saves on the day. Delhi held a commanding 41-25 advantage in shots.

The Broncos are back into conference play Saturday as they travel up to Husson.
