RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Delhi Broncos Men's Lacrosse team narrowly fell 9-8 at the Mt. St. Vincent Dolphins on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup.
It was a tightly conested game throughout, with the Broncos taking a 4-1 lead to enter the second period before a 6-2 run from the Dolphins saw the Broncos down a pair late. Kyle Moore and Jagger Beachak scored back to back to goals in the span of 10 seconds to equalize with 5:58 to play, but an unassisted Sam Hall game winner sent the Broncos home empty handed.
Mattias Remes and Isaac Parsons tallied three goals a piece for the Dolphins in the win, and Jagger Beachak added two goals and two assists for Delhi. Jayden Messina turned away 10 of 19 shots he faced in the loss, with Max Mills picking up eight saves for the Dolphins.
The Broncos return home to host Mt. St. Mary (NY) on Saturday, with faceoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
