Broncos Fall at Misericordia as Men's Lacrosse Kicks off 2026 Campaign

DALLAS, Penn. - Chris Lazazzaro and Nate Doyle netted two goals a piece as the Delhi Broncos Men's Lacrosse team kicked off their season with a 14-6 defeat at Misericordia.

The Broncos led 3-2 after the first frame but a seven-goal second quarter from the Cougars was too much for Delhi to overcome. Ian Young led the charge for the hosts, tallying three goals and two assists while Ty Murawski, Jack Simone and Patrick Dwyer each found the back of the net twice. Jesse Hagen and Anthony McLaughlin were the other goal scorers for the Broncos, and Jagger Beachak recorded a pair of assists. Leyton Sullivan had a stellar day in between the posts for the Cougars turning away 12 of the 18 shots he faced, while Jayden Messina managed 13 saves on 27 shots faced for Delhi.

The Broncos look to bounce back this week, traveling to Monclair State Thursday before hosting Marywood on Saturday for the first home contest of their season.
